A young boy identified as Owate Bode has brutally murdered his mother for refusing to give him twenty thousand naira (N20,000,00) pocket money in Aleto community, Eleme, Rivers state.
REPORT AFRIQUE gathered from eyewitnesses that the suspect had requested the sum of N20,000 from his mother but she pleaded with him to collect N10,000 instead, adding that she did not have up to N20,000 at home. Things, however, went out of control when the mother walked out on him as the angry suspect picked up a hoe and chopped the mother’s head open, leaving her dead in her pool of blood.
It was also revealed that the Owate had previously attacked his father, Chief Bode Nwagor, with a machete and inflicted deep cuts on him, leaving him almost lifeless.
REPORT AFRIQUE had contacted the police in Rivers state on the matter but they were yet to give a response.
