We are ready to take Anambra state in 2021 – PDP

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has said it is ready to take Anambra state government house in 2021 in a rally where members of the party converged in the state capital, Awka.

Present in the rally were major stakeholders of the party, BOT (Board of trustees) members, aspirants and party members from the three senatorial zones of the state.

The rally was aimed at settling the differences which the party says has made it stay out of power for 16 years. The party says this time in one voice, they have resolved to take over the government house come 2021 governorship elections.

The rally which was characterized with speeches from various stakeholders was for the sake of fostering unity and dialogue for the progress of the party.

Speaking at the rally, Chairman of the Party’s Board of Trustees, Walid Jibrin, noted that the party is coming back and the state will have a governor from the party in Anambra state.

Compromised primary elections have always been a major challenge in the party but the rally has rekindled the faith of the aspirants in the leadership of the party which makes the party ready for the elections in 2021.

Speaking at the rally, Valentine Ozigbo, a party delegate noted that in the past it is difficult to the delegates but as it is they are now know years before the elections.

“So PDP is by far more that prepared. In fact, there is no other party near the level of preparedness that PDP has in Anambra”.

The party state chairman, Ndubuisi Nwobu challenged members of the party to help in mobilization while he takes care of the process that will lead to throwing up the candidates.

He further noted that party members must show commitment in the mobilization process particularly at the grassroots.

The governorship election in Anambra state is months away and as the race for the government house gathers momentum, the People’s democratic party is asking it’s members to work in harmony to change the electoral narrative of the state come 2021.
