The United States Embassy in Nigeria has dismissed the news that Bishop Oyedepo was denied Visa as false.

Th embassy posted the disclaimer on their official Facebook Page today.

The news published by Thisday Newspapers, Sahara Reporters, dailypostng and other news platforms claimed that the founder of faith Tabernacles in Ota Ogun state and Living Faith Church Worldwide, otherwise known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, had been denied visa at the Lagos office of the Embassy of the United States on Thursday.

The news further claimed that the Bishop, in disbelief, had an open altercation with the embassy staff about the alleged visa denial with suggestions it may be connected to the new Trump’s Visa restrictions.

The US embassy refuted these claims at exactly 13:59 PM, 31st January, 2020 on their social media page.
