Don Jazzy’s contribution has drawn widespread attention and admiration, with many commending the producer for his act of generosity.
Lagos, Nigeria – Renowned Nigerian music producer, Don Jazzy, has been revealed as the anonymous donor behind the N100 million contribution to activist VeryDarkMan’s (VDM) Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).
VDM, also known as VeryDarkMan, confirmed this on October 17 through his verified Instagram account.
The donation came as a surprise to the activist, who had earlier raised concerns after receiving the large sum, which brought the NGO’s total account balance to N170 million. In a previous social media post, VDM appealed to the public and Zenith Bank for assistance in identifying the donor, as he was initially unaware of who made the contribution.
After reaching out to several individuals with no success, VDM later revealed that Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, personally contacted him to confirm he was behind the generous donation.
Don Jazzy’s message read: “Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send 100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. E no easy.”
VeryDarkMan shared a video showing the message and the receipt of the transaction, expressing his disbelief and gratitude for the unexpected support from the music mogul. He highlighted that the NGO was established to provide assistance to children in public primary schools who lack access to quality teachers.
The music icon’s contribution has drawn widespread attention and admiration, with many commending the producer for his act of generosity.
