Aisha Buhari’s visit, honour to Rivers people, end to Wike’s rule – Eze

The scheduled visit of the wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, to Rivers State today (Saturday) has been attributed as a way of showing appreciation to the people of the State and the entire South – South region of Nigeria by the Buhari family.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, who made the disclosure in a statement circulated in Port Harcourt today, also noted that the visit, which is scheduled for the flag-off of a national campaign outlet; President Buhari Campaign Organization Women, Youth Wing and the NGO ‘Future Assured’, is also part of the grand scheme to free Rivers State from the clutches of alleged misrule by Chief Nyesom Wike’s and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) administration in the region.

Eze erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New PDP (nPDP) explained that the campaign organisation being launched by Mrs Buhari, which is called President Buhari Campaign Organization Women, Youth Wing and Future Assured, are aimed at mobilising women and youths all over Nigeria to ensure the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari. He also described it as a patriotic and well thought out venture. 

“It is a good omen that at this period when the good people of Rivers State have resolved to do away with the PDP inept administration under the watch of Governor Nyesom Wike, Aisha Buhari decided to visit and introduce this program to Rivers State and the entire South-South region today, 26th January 2019. 

“Aisha Buhari the mother of our nation has been a great mother to most of the key actors of the politics of South-South, particularly to the Leader of APC in the South-South and Director General of the Presidential Campaign Organisation, Rt. Hon. Dr Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi the workaholic Minister of Transportation, so her visit is a welcomed development to those of us desirous of a greater and better Niger Delta. 

“This visit means a lot to Rivers state and her people as it shows the importance of Rivers state in both the politics and economy of Nigeria. This visit is also in recognition of the enormous risks taken by the leaders and members of our party, as well the hundreds of Rivers people that were murdered by our adversaries on the route to getting the APC administration elected in 2015 and the role we are still playing to ensure the re-election of President Buhari is possible come February 16th, 2019.

“I am convinced that at the end of the visit, our youths and women folk will see the difference between the PMB-led administration and the wasted sixteen years of the PDP administration at the centre and the misrule that Wike had foisted on the State in the past close to four years.

Eze reassures the First Lady that the South South region, apart from being ready to host her,  is also ever ready to ensure that all the APC candidates are duly elected come February and March general elections, without any hesitation. 

He reiterated that the APC, as a political party, is on a rescue mission in Rivers State; “to save the State from the hands of Governor Nyesom Wike, who has lost touch with what governance is all about as since his assumption of office, Rivers State have been on downward trend as our Pensioners are neither paid or the salaries of our civil servants paid as when due. All great Institutions in the Health, Education, Agriculture and other sectors established by the administration of Rt Hon. Dr Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi have either been vandalised, sold  or kept under key and lock to keep Rivers State undeveloped. 

Eze reiterated that this type of misguided administration in Rivers State is no longer acceptable by those of us that want to develop the State. Amaechi made Rivers State the UNESCO World Book capital but Wike have turned the State into the capital of poverty where citizens doesn’t know how her budget are implemented.

“It is because of the rejection of Governor Wike by the people of Rivers State that made him to embark upon vicious attack and devious plot to ensure that key political parties doesn’t present candidates to face him in the elections knowing that he stands no chance of making any impact during the forthcoming elections but sadly for him and his co-travelers all their efforts in this regard have come to nothing as both Pastor Tonye Cole and APC candidates will not only participate in the elections but will defeat all the PDP candidates soundly. 

Eze recalled that the First Lady once described Dame Judith Amaechi as a great visionary and motivator, “I am proud of you (Dame Judith) for all the laudable works you are doing. Madam, you had a dream and you pursued it, you followed it and it has come to fruition. All Nigerian women are proud of you.”

Eze expressed high hope that with the appointment of this great  mobiliser (Dame Judith Amaechi) to head the South South region of President Buhari Campaign Organization Women, Youth Wing coupled with the appointment of Pastor Tonye Cole as the Rivers State Director of Buhari Campaign Organization for the re-election of President Buhari, the days of PDP in Rivers state and South South region are surely numbered.

Finaly, let me join the Coordinator of the Women and Youth Wing of the APC Presidential Campaign Team, South South Zone, Her Excellency, Dame Judith Amaechi and other leaders and interest groups to welcome the Wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the National Coordinator of APC Presidential Campaign Team of the Women and Youth wing, Her Excellency, Mrs Aisha Buhari and her entourage, to the South South Zonal rally current holding today at Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia, Port Harcourt 

May I therefore urge all the great sons and daughters of Rivers State to come out enmass to welcome the mother of our nation and prove once again the hospitality that  Rivers State is noted with.
