Passengers stranded as Abuja-Kaduna train derails again

A train traveling from Abuja to Kaduna derailed at Asha Station, leaving numerous passengers stranded in the Federal Capital Territory. This incident marks the second derailment on this route in just two weeks.

ReportAfrique peviously reported on May 26, an Abuja-bound train experienced a derailment along the same Abuja-Kaduna line, stranding passengers in the Jere area of Kaduna State.

Yakub Mahmoud, spokesperson for the Nigerian Railway Corporation, stated that an official statement regarding the latest incident would be issued shortly.
