5 Students Abducted from Enugu State College of Health Technology by Armed Men

Five students from the Enugu State College of Health Technology in the Oji River Local Government Area have been abducted by armed men.

The incident reportedly took place as the students were leaving the school premises.

A video circulating on social media on Saturday shows the aftermath of the attack, including footage of an injured man covered in blood.

Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the abduction in a statement on Sunday, noting that the attack occurred on Thursday evening. He addressed rumors claiming that a “countless number of students” had been kidnapped, calling such reports exaggerated and misleading.

According to DSP Ndukwe, the police responded promptly after receiving a tip-off about the incident and successfully rescued two of the abducted students. However, three students remain unaccounted for.

He assured the public that a rigorous operation is underway to rescue the remaining victims and bring the kidnappers to justice.
