First Bank Announces Job Vacancy for Interested graduates

First Bank, one of Nigeria’s oldest and most respected financial institutions, has opened applications for its Graduate Trainee Programme. This annual recruitment initiative is designed to attract and develop fresh graduates into the bank’s workforce, aiming to meet the growing manpower needs and cultivate a pool of future leaders.

The programme targets young, dynamic, and talented individuals under the age of 27. Eligible candidates must hold at least a bachelor’s degree with a second-class lower division or an HND upper credit and exhibit the right behavioral traits.

The Graduate Trainee Programme is an integral part of First Bank’s career and succession planning strategy. It is intended to create a reservoir of replacement candidates for internal staff transitioning to new roles within various departments, thus promoting career mobility within the bank.

First bank Requirements for Applicants

Interested candidates must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Proficient interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivation and results orientation
  • High innovation and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective teamwork skills

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the programme, applicants must meet these criteria:

  • Be no older than 27 years by September 30, 2024
  • Possess a minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics, in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)
  • Hold a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) or HND (Upper Credit) in any discipline
  • Complete the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by June 30, 2024
