Lagos Police Rescue Abducted Fouani Brothers

In a successful operation, the Lagos State Police Command has rescued three brothers, Abbas, Youssef, and Amtal Fouani, who were abducted on June 14.

ReportAfrique earlier reported that the brothers, owners of Fouani Nigeria Ltd, a leading electronics company that distributes LG, Hisense, and Maxi products in Nigeria, were taken from their factory by boat around 6pm.

The police had been working tirelessly to ensure the safe release of the victims, including the boat driver and his assistant. According to sources, the rescue operation was carried out by the Lagos Marine Police with support from the Nigerian Navy.

The rescue team tracked down the abductors and safely brought the victims to shore in Orugbo Iddo late on Monday night. From there, a tactical team transported them to their residence on Banana Island in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The five rescued individuals, including the three Lebanese brothers and their boat crew, have been reunited with their families. The police investigation into the abduction is ongoing to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.
