Nasarawa Gov orders payment of June Salaries before Sallah

In a bid to ensure a hitch-free Sallah celebration, Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has directed the payment of June salaries to civil servants in the state. The governor gave the directive during an empowerment programme organized by the Commissioner for Special Duties, Humanitarian Affairs and NGOs, Magret Elayo, on Tuesday.

According to sources, the governor ordered that the payment of salaries be made ahead of the celebration, which is slated for June 16th. The governor also directed chairmen of the 13 local government areas to use their savings to pay workers’ salaries before the Sallah celebration.

The move is seen as a gesture to boost the morale of civil servants and ensure that they are able to celebrate Sallah without financial constraints. The governor’s directive is also aimed at testing the veracity of claims that local governments in Nasarawa State have sufficient savings in their accounts.

The governor’s order is seen as a major relief to civil servants in the state who had been waiting anxiously for their salaries. It is also a testament to the state government’s commitment to ensuring that its workers are well taken care of.

In a statement, the governor emphasized the importance of timely payment of salaries and urged local government chairmen to use their savings to pay workers’ salaries. He assured that the state government would also pay its own salaries and would not compromise on its obligations.

The governor’s directive has been welcomed by civil servants and workers in the state who are eagerly awaiting the payment of their salaries.
