Texas, USA – Nigerian rapper Sidney Esiri, widely known as Dr Sid, has opened up about his move to the United States in 2023, providing insights during an appearance on the ‘No Man’s Friend’ podcast. Dr Sid shared that his relocation to Houston, Texas, was largely motivated by a job opportunity he received from a New York-based company that allows him to work remotely.

In his own words, Dr Sid explained, “I relocated to Houston, Texas last year after securing a position with a company in New York that offered me the flexibility to work from any state of my choosing.” He noted the advantages of living in Houston, mentioning the presence of family and his best friend in the area, which made the decision to settle there straightforward.

The artist also revealed that he has focused on various projects over the past year and a half, including gaming tournaments, game development, and education training. Dr Sid’s journey in the music industry began in 1999 as a choreographer at Trybe Records. He rose to prominence after releasing his debut album, ‘Turning Point,’ under Mo’ Hits Records in 2009, marking a significant milestone in his career.
