Maiduguri, Nigeria – The Borno State Government has announced the passing of the state’s Commissioner for Finance, Ahmad Ali Ahmad.
The sad news was confirmed on Monday morning by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Usman Tar.
According to sources close to the situation, the commissioner’s door was forced open after he failed to emerge at his usual waking time, raising concerns about his well-being.
Ahmad, who was sworn into office on August 10, 2024, had previously served as the State Zonal Manager of Zenith Bank in Maiduguri before assuming his current role.
In a statement, Tar revealed that Ahmad’s burial is scheduled for 5:00 PM on Monday, August 26, 2024.
The burial will take place at his family residence on Damboa Road, behind the Indimi residence in Maiduguri.
