Lagos, Nigeria – Ecobank Nigeria has rewarded 88 customers with a total of N8 million in its latest monthly and quarterly raffle draws as part of the ongoing ‘Ecobank Super Rewards, the Millionaire Geng Season’ campaign.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 80 customers won N50,000 each during the September monthly draw, amounting to N4 million, while eight winners received N500,000 each in the quarterly draw, also totaling N4 million. In total, N8 million was distributed to customers during this phase of the campaign.

Since the raffle series commenced in July 2024, Ecobank has given out N16 million in cash rewards to its customers.

At the announcement of the winners, which took place on Friday in Lagos, Mr. Odjegba Otega, Regional Head of Ecobank’s Apapa-Isolo Region, stated that 20 winners emerged from each of the bank’s four divisions during the monthly draw. The event was monitored by officials from the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission and the National Lottery Regulatory Commission.

Otega further explained that two winners were selected from each division for the quarterly draw. The divisions include the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and North, South-South and South-East, Southwest and Midwest, and Lagos.

In total, 291,253 customers were eligible for the September monthly draw. These included 79,923 customers from the FCT and North, 84,848 from the South-South and South-East, 64,904 from the Southwest and Midwest, and 61,578 from Lagos. For the quarterly draw, 140,951 customers qualified, with 32,571 from the FCT and North, 42,474 from the South-South and South-East, 34,007 from the Southwest and Midwest, and 31,899 from Lagos.

Speaking on the initiative, Otega emphasized that the raffle draws are part of Ecobank’s efforts to appreciate and reward loyal customers for their continued patronage. “We are here to celebrate and appreciate our valued customers for choosing to bank with us,” he said.

Mr. Victor Yalokwu, Head of Consumer Product and Segment at Ecobank Nigeria, also noted that the raffle was introduced mid-year to reward both new and existing customers. To qualify for the draws, customers are required to maintain a minimum balance of N10,000 in their accounts for at least 30 days.

Yalokwu disclosed that the bank plans to reward a total of 512 customers with N42 million in cash prizes by the end of the campaign. “The rewards are divided into three categories: monthly, quarterly, and the grand finale,” he said. So far, 240 customers have won in the monthly draws, and eight have been rewarded through the quarterly draws.

The next monthly draws are set for November and December, leading up to the grand finale, where eight lucky customers will each win N2 million.
