Enugu, Nigeria – Governor Peter Mbah announced on Saturday that tractor assemblage will commence in Enugu State before the end of the year, in partnership with a Danish company.

According to the Governor, over 300 tractors will be assembled this year, with a target of 1,000 by the end of next year. This move is expected to boost the agricultural sector, providing local farmers with access to locally produced equipment and reducing reliance on imports.

The Governor also highlighted the state’s focus on production, processing, and value addition, with the establishment of Special Processing Zones. This initiative aims to ensure that Enugu not only grows crops but also processes them for local use and export.

Additionally, Governor Mbah emphasized the state’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for investments, with improved infrastructure, including paved roads, enhanced security, and a business-friendly government.
