Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has inaugurated 21 local government administrators, charging them to prioritize grassroots engagement.
This action follows the dissolution of all elected chairmen and secretaries of the 21 local government areas (LGAs) last month, citing the end of their tenure on February 5.
During the swearing-in ceremony held at the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi, Governor Idris emphasized the importance of staying connected with the populace. He urged the administrators to work diligently and justify the trust placed in them by the people.
Governor Idris highlighted the diverse composition of the new administrators, comprising both experienced politicians and young leaders. He expressed his commitment to grooming the youth for future leadership roles, stressing the need for mentorship from seasoned politicians.
In response, the Sole Administrator of Birnin Kebbi, Dahiru Nayaya-Ambursa, assured the governor of unwavering support for his administration’s success.
Nayaya-Ambursa, speaking on behalf of the other administrators, pledged to prioritize positive development in their respective local government areas.
Ahmed Idris, the governor’s spokesman, conveyed the administrators’ assurance of dedication to their duties, as stated in a released statement.
The local government chairmen affirmed their determination to uphold the governor’s vision and serve their communities diligently.
