Two Commissioners Resign From Governor Alex Otti’s Administration

The Abia State Government has announced plans to begin the payment of the new N70,000 minimum wage from October.

Two commissioners have tendered their resignations from the administration of Governor Alex Otti, effective immediately.

According to a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, Mr. Chima Oriaku, Commissioner for Science and Technology, and Prof. Monica Ironkwe, Commissioner for Agriculture, have both stepped down from their positions.

While the reasons for their resignations were not disclosed, Governor Otti expressed his gratitude to the departing commissioners for their service and sacrifice to the state, wishing them well in their future endeavors.
