Medical Experts Debunk Myths: Why Penis Size Has No Impact on Sexual Performance, Satisfaction, or Fertility
Medical experts have dismissed the widespread belief that penis size influences a man’s sexual performance or fertility. According to specialists in sexology and urology, factors such as hormonal balance, sperm quality, and overall health play a much bigger role.
Sexual Satisfaction Goes Beyond Size – Clinical Sexologist
Cecilia Agu, a clinical sexologist, emphasized that penis size often receives more attention than necessary. She explained that women generally value emotional connection, chemistry, and creativity over size when it comes to sexual satisfaction.
“For most men, what truly matters is their overall health, the chemistry and emotional bond with their partner, and the creativity they bring to the bedroom,”
Agu said.
“While rare hormonal conditions can impact sexual health, size is not a major determinant of fertility or performance.”
She added that societal standards linking penis size to masculinity stem from myths, cultural symbols, and media influence.
“For centuries, art and literature celebrated size as a mark of virility, and today, pop culture and pornography continue to reinforce this outdated idea,”
she noted.
Medical Conditions and Penis Size
Agu pointed out that while most men have a normal-sized penis, certain medical conditions can lead to a smaller-than-average size. These include micropenis, which is often associated with hormonal deficiencies, congenital hypogonadism, or genetic conditions like Klinefelter syndrome. She advised men with concerns to seek professional medical evaluation.

No Link Between Penis Size and Fertility – Urologist
Dr. Gabriel Ogah, a consultant urologist, confirmed that penis size has no impact on male fertility.
“A small penis does not affect fertility. As long as a man produces healthy sperm, he can impregnate a woman. Even if his penis is small, it does not interfere with reproductive functions,”
Dr. Ogah stated.
He attributed the increasing obsession with longer penises to exposure to pornography.
“Most men who think they have a small penis actually have a normal size. The craze for enlargement is driven by unrealistic expectations set by adult content,”
he explained.
The urologist also noted that many men spend money on penis enhancement products, despite no scientific evidence proving their effectiveness.
“Even elderly men are searching for ways to make their penis longer, but the truth is, there is no medical intervention that permanently increases penis size,”
he added.
Experts agree that instead of worrying about size, men should focus on their overall health, emotional connection with their partner, and confidence in the bedroom. Sexual performance is influenced more by mindset, physical well-being, and relationship dynamics than by anatomy.
