A devastating incident occurred on Friday night at the Ajadeh Event Centre on Sagamu Road, Iperu, leaving a Babcock University professor dead and two others abducted.

Professor Yinka Olomojobi, a law lecturer at Babcock University, was shot dead by gunmen who stormed the relaxing lounge around 9:20 pm. Eyewitnesses reported that eight men dressed in black and armed with guns opened fire indiscriminately, targeting the professor who resisted being taken away.

Two others, including a manager of a car stand identified as Dare, and another unidentified person, were kidnapped by the gunmen and taken to an unknown destination.

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the incident and announced the arrest of one suspect, Awada Ishaya, a security man who was employed two weeks ago. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, Ishaya is being held for further interrogation.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to apprehend the culprits and rescue the kidnapped victims.
