Elon Musk’s Daughter Vivian Wilson Plans to Leave the U.S. Amidst Political Climate Following Trump’s Election
Vivian Wilson, the 20-year-old estranged transgender daughter of tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, has announced her intention to relocate from the United States in light of Donald Trump’s recent election victory. In a post on Threads, Wilson expressed her unease regarding the political atmosphere under Trump’s presidency, as reported by the UK’s Daily Mail.
“I don’t envision my future in the United States,” she conveyed. “I’ve been contemplating this for some time, but yesterday solidified my decision. Regardless of whether he serves only four years or if anti-trans legislation does not come to fruition, the individuals who supported this choice will remain for a long time.”
Previously known as Xavier Musk, Wilson filed for a legal name and gender change in April 2022, choosing to adopt her mother’s maiden name, Wilson, in an effort to sever ties with her father. In her court filings, she stated, “I no longer live with or wish to be associated with my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”
Elon Musk, who has publicly backed Trump and has fathered multiple children from three different relationships, has been vocal about his strained connection with Vivian. He has referred to her as a “communist” with a view that wealth is intrinsically evil, alleging that he was misled into allowing her to use puberty blockers.
“I was essentially tricked into consenting to documents for Xavier,” Musk claimed. “I didn’t fully grasp the circumstances at that moment; it was during COVID, and I was told that Xavier might be at risk of suicide.” Additionally, Musk has characterized puberty blockers as “sterilisation drugs” and condemned gender dysphoria as “incredibly evil,” arguing that advocates of such views “should be imprisoned.” He further noted, “I lost my son… They refer to it as ‘deadnaming’ because your son is dead, a victim of the woke mind virus.”
In light of her father’s remarks, Vivian criticized Musk’s absence during her upbringing, claiming he often demeaned her for her “femininity and queerness.” She asserted, “He doesn’t know my experiences as a child because he was simply not present. I faced relentless bullying for my femininity and queerness. I’ve been reduced to a stereotype, and that speaks volumes about how he perceives queer individuals and children in general.”
