Kanayo, and Odunlade Adekola lead an all-star cast in the highly anticipated movie, directed by the acclaimed American-Nigerian filmmaker Tony Abulu. Set to hit cinemas nationwide on September 6, 2024, this film is already generating massive buzz.
Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi teased fans on Instagram by dropping the trailer, sparking excitement across social media. The legendary Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) also hyped the movie, saying,
“Behold the star-studded American Japa film coming to cinemas on September 6, 2024.”
The film will have its grand premiere at Film House, The Palms Mall, on August 30.
American Japa dives into the lives of commercial sex workers dreaming of escaping to the U.S. for a better life. With a stellar cast that includes Bolanle Ninalowo, Segun Arinze, Yemi Blaq, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Jide Kosoko, and many more, this movie is set to be a blockbuster.
