“Naira Marley still having an audience”- Daniel Regha Condemns

Social media influencer Daniel Regha slams fans of Naira Marley for supporting the artist despite serious allegations of assault and abuse.

Social media influencer Daniel Regha has fiercely criticized supporters of Nigerian artist Naira Marley, questioning their continued loyalty amidst serious allegations of abuse. Regha’s comments come in the wake of disturbing claims made by former Marlian Records signee Lil Smart, who accused Naira-Marley and fellow artist Zinoleesky of assault and kidnapping.

Lil Smart shocked fans and the entertainment world with allegations that he was abducted and physically assaulted by Naira-Marley and Zinoleesky. Taking to social media to air his ordeal, the former Marlian Records artist accused the duo of engaging in violent behavior. These allegations have further tarnished Naira Marley’s reputation.

Daniel Regha’s Stance

Daniel Regha took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his disapproval of the continued support for Naira-Marley. In a scathing post, he said:

“Naira Marley still having an audience, or listening ears after all he’s been accused of, goes to show our level of unseriousness as a people. In all this, I blame the Nigeria Police.”

The Mohbad Connection

The latest accusations against Naira-Marley follow closely on the heels of investigations into the death of Mohbad, a former Marlian Records signee. Mohbad passed away in September 2023 under suspicious circumstances, leading to heightened scrutiny of Naira Marley’s conduct and influence.

During the investigation into Mohbad’s death, Lagos State Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa revealed evidence implicating Naira Marley and his associate Sam Larry in cyberbullying, threats, and physical abuse against the late singer. He stated:

“While Abdulazeez Fashola (Naira Marley) and Samson Balogun (Sam Larry) denied allegations of criminal liability… there are ample electronic and credible witness pieces of evidence linking them to cyberbullying, a threat to life, assault occasioning harm, and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace against the deceased in his lifetime.”
