Nigerian singer Spyro has opened up about his personal battle with faith and sexual temptation in a candid post on Instagram, shared on September 3, 2024.
The artist, known for his hit song Who’s Your Guy, revealed that while sex initially felt good, it soon became a source of deep internal conflict.
Spyro confessed:
“SEX felt good till I could no longer bear struggling with my conscience.”
Despite enjoying the act initially, he admitted that the aftermath always left him feeling troubled, as though a part of him was lost. This struggle eventually led him to turn to prayer for strength, and he eventually decided to cut ties with sexual partners, fully committing to celibacy.
The singer described his journey as challenging, particularly when traveling or interacting with women who show interest in him. He acknowledged the temptation he faces:
“It hasn’t been easy, especially when these clean girls get funny around me, and promoters never make it easy.”
However, Spyro remains determined to save himself for his future wife, even jokingly mentioning that if reality star Nengi were to cross his path, it would be a difficult test, but there would be “no going back.”
Spyro ended his post on a lighthearted note, inviting fans to report him to his pastor or family if they ever see him “getting funny” anywhere, reiterating his commitment to his faith.
