Rivers, Kwara, Edo and Abuja recorded new cases of coronavirus according to a tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The tweet made 9:30Pm Monday reveals that Nigeria recorded six new cases of the virus. Two in Kwara state, two in Edo state, one in Rivers state and one in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Total confirmed cases in Nigeria now stands at 238, 35 cases of recovered patients and 5 deaths.
The Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, in a state broadcast said the index case of coronavirus in the state has recovered and now tests negative to the virus.
The breakdown of coronavirus cases by state in Nigeria are as follows: Lagos- 120, FCT- 48, Osun- 20, Oyo- 9, Edo- 11, Bauchi- 6, Akwa Ibom- 5, Kaduna- 5, Ogun- 4, Enugu- 2, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-2, Benue- 1, Ondo– 1 and Kwara- 2.
