A chilling discovery was made in the Manjasurawa area of Ilorin, Kwara State capital, on Sunday morning, as a yet-to-be-identified man was found dead in a well. The incident occurred at approximately 08:23 hours, when residents alerted the Kwara State Fire Service to a reported drowning in the domestic well.

According to Hassan Adekunle, Head of Media and Publicity for the Kwara State Fire Service, the fire service received a distress call and promptly dispatched personnel to the scene. Upon arrival, the team found the man, estimated to be around 38 years old, floating in the well. Despite their efforts to rescue him, the man was pronounced dead.
The body was handed over to DCO Olatunji of the Nigeria Police Force, Ganmo Division, for further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The police are working to determine the cause of the death and identify the individual.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many left wondering what could have led to the tragic event. As authorities continue to investigate, the identity of the deceased remains unknown, leaving many questions unanswered.
