Father beats 19-year-old son to death with shovel in lagos

In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old boy has lost his life after being allegedly beaten to death by his father in Lagos State. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with the Lagos Police launching an investigation into the matter.

According to reports, the 19-year-old boy, Adeyemi, was subjected to a severe beating by his father, Olumide, on July 5, using a shovel. The attack occurred at their residence in Alagbado, and Adeyemi sustained serious injuries as a result.

Despite being rushed to the hospital for treatment, Adeyemi’s condition deteriorated, and he eventually succumbed to tetanus infection while undergoing treatment at the General Hospital Ikeja. An autopsy was conducted, which confirmed the cause of death as tetanus infection.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident, with detectives from the Alagbado Police Division visiting the scene and collecting evidence. However, Olumide, the father of the victim, is currently at large and is being sought by authorities.

The police have not ruled out any possibility and are working to gather more information about the incident. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but it is believed that it was over an undisclosed offense.
