Tanker Explosion on Mbiama-Yenagoa Road in Bayelsa State, No Casualties Reported

Bayelsa- A dramatic incident occurred on Sunday along the Mbiama-Yenagoa Road, at Akenfa-3 in Bayelsa State, when a tanker laden with petrol products exploded. According to eyewitnesses, the tanker and a nearby tricycle, commonly referred to as a Keke, caught fire, but miraculously, no lives were lost.

The Bayelsa State Police Command has confirmed the incident, assuring the public that there is no cause for alarm. In a statement, the command’s spokesperson, Musa Mohammed, revealed that police and Federal Fire Service officials responded promptly to contain the situation and ensure everyone’s safety. He assuredly the public that no life was lost in the accident.

The incident has been brought under control, and authorities are working to determine the cause of the explosion. The police have assured the public that they are working closely with other agencies to prevent similar incidents in the future.
