How Popular Igbo Comedienne Ada Jesus Died of Cardiac Arrest in Abuja Hospital

Popular Igbo comedienne, Mercy Mmesoma Obi, popularly known as Ada Jesus is dead.

She was said to have died of cardiac arrest in an Abuja hospital on April 21, 2021, two days after she celebrated her birthday. She was battling with a kidney disease before her demise.

Ada Jesus made headlines early April when videos of her appealing for forgiveness from prophet Odumeje, Actress Rita Edochie and a traditional healer known as Chi Marine Temple went viral online.

While Chi Marine Temple forgave Ada Jesus, Prophet Odumeje and Rita Edochie vowed not to forgive the young lady, but after so much pressure, Edochie dropped a video saying that she had forgiven the comedienne.

The late comedienne, Ada Jesus, was allegedly cursed by prophet Odumeje because she accused him of performing fake miracles, actress, Rita Edochie also rained curses on the young lady for insulting her.

Odumeje’s initial refusal to forgive the late comedienne attracted condemnation from many Nigerians.

Human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, who has been with her at her sick bed before her death said that the comedienne did not die from curses or spiritual attacks as most people have been speculating. He revealed that Ada passed on knowing that she had those who loved her by her side.

He revealed that she had been battling her kidney disease for a long time before he and his team intervened and took her for proper care. Gwamnishu lastly said that Ada died knowing that she was surrounded by love, something she did not get in the church.
