Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda Initiates Cabinet Reshuffle to Enhance Administrative Efficiency

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has enacted a minor cabinet reshuffle directed at improving the effectiveness of his administration. The changes were announced through a statement from the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohamed, and shared with the media on Monday.

In this reorganization, Malik Anas has been nominated as the new commissioner to lead the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning. Anas brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as Katsina State’s Accountant General. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Bayero University, Kano, and is an active member of various professional organizations, including the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.

The reshuffle also includes Bello Kagara, who shifts from his role at the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning to take over the Ministry of Finance. In addition, Hon. Bashir Tanimu Gambo, formerly the Finance Commissioner, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Other changes see Yusuf Rabi’u Jirdede moving from the Ministry of Special Duties to lead the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, and Investment, while Adnan Nahabu transitions from the latter to take charge of the Ministry of Special Duties.

Governor Radda has tasked the newly appointed and reassigned commissioners with the imperative to deliver exceptional service. He urged Alhaji Malik Anas specifically to align the ministry’s goals with the administration’s “Building Your Future” initiative and called on all commissioners to redouble their efforts in serving the citizens of Katsina State.
