An unidentified man has been arrested for possessing a bomb on the premises of a bank in Dadin Kowa, located in the Jos South area of Plateau State.
However, the suspect was quickly subdued after the explosive was discovered, preventing a potential tragedy.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported on X that the vigilant security team at the bank detected the suspect and thwarted the attack. The discovery incited an angry mob, which demanded the suspect be executed on the spot. However, the suspect was ultimately handed over to the police for further investigation.
A photograph shared by Makama showed the bomb strapped around the suspect’s abdomen. It remains unclear if the suspect is connected to any terrorist organizations in the country.
