Mega Filling Station Owners Seek Stronger Partnership with NNPC to Boost Petroleum Product Availability

The Association of Mega Filling Station Owners of Nigeria (AMFSON) has called for a stronger collaboration between the association and the management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) to ensure the availability of petroleum products at affordable rates to Nigerians.

According to the President of AMFSON, Davidson Ukatta, the association’s members have filling stations in all 774 local government headquarters in the country, making it easier for the public to access petroleum products at a cheaper rate. Ukatta made this statement after a meeting with members of the association in Abuja.

The association believes that with its vast network of filling stations, it can transport fuel to the grassroots level at a cheaper rate, making it possible for Nigerians to access petroleum products easily. Ukatta emphasized that AMFSON is not just a business partner but a partner in progress in the quest to deliver products to Nigerians at cheaper and affordable rates.

The statement also highlighted that while NNPC Retail filling stations are primarily located in state capitals and Abuja, AMFSON outlets can be found in multiple numbers in local councils across the country. This makes it possible for Nigerians to readily access petroleum products at a cheaper rate nationwide.

The association is urging all critical stakeholders to rally behind it in its bid to make petroleum products available across the country. Ukatta also called on NNPC Limited to deepen its relationship with AMFSON members as part of strategies to make cheaper petroleum products available to the public.

Furthermore, AMFSON is highlighting its role in driving the policy behind the establishment of NNPC Retail Limited, which is aimed at making petroleum products available to Nigerians at an affordable rate. The association’s members are well-equipped to drive this policy and provide petroleum products to Nigerians at a cheaper rate.

The opening of AMFSON’s new national secretariat in Abuja marks a new chapter in the annals of the association. The new secretariat is expected to create a more enabling environment for the association to meet the needs of its members.
