MultiChoice Announces Price Increases for DStv and GOtv Packages Starting March 1, 2025
MultiChoice has revealed that it will implement price increases for its DStv and GOtv packages beginning March 1, 2025. This information was shared with customers through a statement issued on Monday.
Titled “Price Adjustments for DStv and GOtv Packages,” the announcement stated, “Dear Customer, please note that effective 1 March 2025, there will be a price adjustment on all DStv packages. This is to enable us to continue to offer our customers world-class homegrown and international content, delivered through the best technology.”
This decision follows almost a year after the company’s previous price review. The updated pricing for DStv packages is as follows:
- DStv Compact: from N15,700 to N19,000
- DStv Compact Plus: from N20,000 to N30,000
- DStv Premium: from N38,500 to N44,500
Similarly, GOtv subscribers will see the following adjustments:
- GOtv: from N3,600 to N3,900
- GOtv Plus: from N4,850 to N5,800
- GOtv Max: from N7,000 to N8,500
- GOtv Supa: from N10,000 to N11,400
- GOtv Supa Plus: from N15,000 to N16,800
MultiChoice, the parent organization of DStv and GOtv, indicated that the price hike is primarily due to the rising operational costs in Nigeria. The company pointed to significant currency depreciation and high inflation rates as contributing factors to its increased expenses.
