President Bola Tinubu Donates 7,000 Bags of Rice to APC Members in Zamfara for Ramadan
President Bola Tinubu has contributed 7,000 bags of rice as a Ramadan gift for members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State. This initiative aims to alleviate economic hardships faced by party members and less-privileged individuals in the region.
The State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yusuf Idris, announced the donation in a statement released from Gusau on Saturday. The distribution was officially launched on Friday in Gusau by Dr. Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence.
During the event, Dr. Matawalle, who was represented by Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, the State APC Chairman, handed over the bags of rice to party executives at the APC Secretariat in Gusau. He clarified that this donation was a personal gesture from President Tinubu designed to ease the financial burden on party members and improve conditions for those in need.
Matawalle urged APC members to remain steadfast in their prayers for lasting peace and stability in both Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole. He also emphasized that the Federal Government, under Tinubu’s leadership, is making significant strides in combating banditry and other forms of crime affecting the state and the wider North-West region.
“This gesture is a token of appreciation for the unwavering dedication, hard work, and loyalty of the APC leadership in Zamfara, contributing to the party’s cohesion and strength,” he stated. Matawalle further called for unity among party members at all levels to fortify the party’s position in the state.
The State Secretary of the APC, Ibrahim Dangaladima, expressed gratitude towards President Tinubu and the minister during the distribution. He described the rice donation as a vital and timely intervention, particularly given the pressing need for food assistance among the local population.
