The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has initiated investigations into the death of an unidentified lady found dead near Mpape Junction in Abuja. According to the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the Mabushi Divisional Headquarters of the command retrieved the body and has commenced inquiries to ascertain the woman’s identity.

The young lady’s face has been matched to a Facebook Page named Kadoon Louisa Lornumbe. The deceased had posted videos of herself on her page few days before she was found dead.

“We transferred the body to the hospital yesterday,” Adeh stated, “but we have not yet been able to determine her identity. Our investigation is ongoing.”

The discovery of the deceased was highlighted by a Twitter user with the handle #Arike_Jane, who shared photos of the woman on Thursday. The tweet indicated that no identifying documents were found on the body, complicating efforts to contact her family and relatives.

“This young girl was found dead this morning,” the tweet read, “near Mpape junction around Abuja’s top bridge connecting Berger and AYA. No useful information or identification was discovered to facilitate contact with her family and relatives.”

In response to the tweet, some users speculated that the woman might have fallen victim to a “one chance” crime, given the absence of identification on her person. David Offor, another Twitter user, expressed sorrow over the incident, emphasizing the importance of caution when moving around Abuja at night.

“It’s truly heartbreaking,” Offor remarked. “Everyone should be cautious when traveling at night in Abuja. If you must go out after dark, consider taking a cab from a designated park, using a ride-hailing service, or booking a reliable transportation option online. The threat of ‘one chance’ incidents is still very real. May she rest in peace.”
