A brazen attempt to smuggle cocaine worth millions of naira was foiled by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. The suspect, dressed in a Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry uniform with the inscription “Uke, Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha”, was arrested as he prepared to depart for Europe.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect had cleverly concealed the drugs in his sandals, which was only discovered by NDLEA officers after a thorough search. Two photos and videos taken at the scene reveal the extent of the concealment, showcasing the suspect’s cunning attempt to evade detection.
The agency’s spokesman, Femi Babafemi, took to social media to share the shocking discovery, captioning it “God is not mocked!” He emphasized the suspect’s audacity in wearing a uniform advertising God while hiding illegal substances beneath.
The suspect’s identity remains unknown as authorities continue to investigate the matter. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the creative ways drug traffickers will go to conceal their illegal activities. The NDLEA’s swift action has prevented a significant amount of cocaine from reaching its intended destination, and officials are hailing it as a major success in their fight against drug trafficking.
