Nigerian music icon Davido, born David Adeleke, has confirmed he is in album mode, preparing to release his highly anticipated fifth studio album in 2025.
This announcement, made during his appearance on The Baller Alert Show, has fans buzzing with excitement as the superstar promises a project infused with authentic African sounds and global appeal, marking a new milestone in his celebrated career.
During the interview, Davido shared insights into his creative process, revealing that the upcoming album will feature “real African records” while maintaining the vibrant energy that has made him a global phenomenon. Though he withheld specifics about the album’s title and release date, the anticipation among fans continues to soar as they await another masterpiece from the award-winning artist.
Davido also teased a highly anticipated collaboration titled Funds, which will feature Odumodublvck, hailed as Nigeria’s biggest rapper, and Chike, whose soulful style Davido compared to American R&B star Bryson Tiller. “Girls love him,” Davido noted.
Fresh off the success of Awuke, a collaboration with YG Marley, Davido’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down. With critically acclaimed albums like A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and Timeless (2023), his fifth project is expected to continue his trend of chart-topping hits and international acclaim.
Despite his global recognition, he remains deeply connected to his Nigerian roots. Speaking about his decision to stay based in Nigeria, he stated:
