Fullerton, California – A tragic plane crash in Fullerton on Thursday afternoon claimed two lives and left multiple others injured, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

The crash occurred in the 2300 block of Raymer Avenue, near Fullerton Municipal Airport, prompting a large-scale emergency response and evacuations.

Details of the Incident

Authorities received reports of the crash at approximately 2:09 p.m. The small aircraft reportedly struck a furniture manufacturing building, causing significant damage and sparking a four-alarm fire. Fullerton police confirmed the death of two individuals, though it remains unclear whether the victim was in the plane or in the building.

Nine others were transported to local hospitals for treatment, while six individuals were treated and released at the scene. In total, eleven injuries have been reported. Surrounding businesses were evacuated as police and fire crews worked to secure the area.

The Fullerton Police Department shared an update on X (formerly Twitter), requesting the public avoid the area while the investigation continues. A media staging area has been set up at Raymer Avenue and Gilbert Street.

Representative Lou Correa (D-CA) acknowledged the crash on X, noting, “A small plane crashed into a furniture manufacturing building in Fullerton in our district. At least a dozen workers injured hurt. Passengers’ status unknown.”

Footage of the incident, shared on social media by Fox 11 reporter Matthew Seedorff, shows the plane crashing into the building. ABC7 helicopter reporter Chris Cristi described the aftermath as a “four-alarm fire” with reported casualties.


This crash adds to a series of recent aviation incidents. Last week, a plane crash in South Korea claimed 179 lives, and an investigation into a near-miss involving a private jet and a Delta Air Lines plane at Los Angeles International Airport remains ongoing.


First responders are continuing to investigate the cause of the Fullerton crash. Updates will be provided by the Fullerton Police Department as more information becomes available.

For now, residents and commuters are advised to steer clear of the area to facilitate rescue and recovery efforts.
