Port Harcourt, Nigeria – Sir Siminalayi Fubara attended Sunday service at the Salvation Ministries headquarters amid speculation about his whereabouts following his suspension as Rivers State Governor by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on March 18, 2025.
Rumors had suggested the suspended governor had sought asylum at the Bayelsa State Government House or returned to his hometown, Opobo. His suspension has sparked nationwide outrage, with many calling on President Tinubu to reverse what they describe as a violation of the Nigerian Constitution.

Prominent figures, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, ex-Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi have condemned the move.
