Reports indicate that most of the commissioners served under former Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration for eight years before transitioning to Governor Eno’s government.

Uyo, Nigeria – Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has dissolved his cabinet, citing the need for a fresh wave of energy in his administration. The announcement was made on Friday during a valedictory session held at the Executive Council chamber in Uyo, the state capital.

Governor Eno emphasized that the decision was not due to any lack of performance by the outgoing commissioners. He commended their contributions to the success of his administration’s Arise Agenda but explained that the move was necessary to bring in a new set of professionals to propel his vision forward.

“For me, if changes were based on non-performance, none of the commissioners would be replaced. All of you have delivered, and that is why the Arise Agenda has succeeded. However, we must conclude one season, begin another, and continue to move forward,” Eno said.

The governor also announced plans to host a valedictory dinner on Friday evening at the Banquet Hall of Government House, Uyo, to honor the outgoing cabinet members for their service.

Reports indicate that most of the commissioners served under former Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration for eight years before transitioning to Governor Eno’s government.

The governor’s decision marks the beginning of a new chapter for the state’s executive council as he seeks to inject fresh ideas into his administration.
