Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno Flags Off Rural Road Construction Projects

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State flagged off multiple road construction projects in Obot Akara, Essien Udim, and Etim Ekpo local government areas yesterday.

These initiatives, forming part of the administration’s ARISE Agenda, signal a concerted effort towards enhancing rural development across the state.

The projects include the construction of the 11.71km Abiakpo Ikot Otu-Atan Ibong-Usaka Annang Road and Nto Ndang-Nto Ekpu Road in Obot Akara, accompanied by the erection of a bridge to facilitate connectivity.

Additionally, work commenced on the 16km Essien Udim-Etim Ekpo road, featuring a bridge to link communities in both local government areas.

During the flag-off ceremony, Governor Umo Eno reiterated the administration’s unwavering commitment to addressing the needs of the populace, particularly in rural areas.

Emphasizing that these endeavors are driven by a genuine desire to enhance citizens’ livelihoods rather than political motives, the governor expressed determination to promptly complete the projects to alleviate challenges faced by the populace, particularly women and children.

The governor expressed gratitude for the heartfelt appreciation received from the communities and acknowledged the collaborative efforts of stakeholders, including representatives from the affected local government areas.

He affirmed the collective commitment to realizing the ARISE Agenda and fostering overall development in Akwa Ibom State.
