Nigerian TikTok Expert Shares Journey to Financial Success Amid Economic Challenges
Godwin Daramola, a prominent TikTok strategist and business consultant, has shared his remarkable success story of how he increased his earnings from N1 million to N5 million monthly through the platform. His narrative aims to inspire Nigerian youths to leverage their mobile devices for productive purposes, particularly during a time when many are feeling the strain of the country’s economic hardships.
In response to criticisms directed at youth for their perceived excessive use of smartphones for entertainment rather than productive activities, Daramola emphasized the importance of taking proactive steps to address the economic issues in Nigeria instead of relying solely on government support.
Reflecting on his journey, Daramola stated, “I began my TikTok venture in 2021, concentrating on demonstrating my services and sharing testimonials. By 2022, I was earning around ₦1 million monthly, and by 2023, my income surged to an astonishing average of ₦5 million weekly. Nowadays, I can earn ₦1 million in just 15 minutes.”
Daramola attributes a significant part of his success to his spiritual growth and experiences. He credits his father’s role as a pastor for shaping his beliefs and approach. He remarked, “Growing up in a Christian household, daily devotion was mandatory for all family members and guests.”
He elaborated on his early experiences, recalling, “In 2014, I revived a neighbor’s deceased visitor, and the news spread quickly in my community, leading many to call me pastor. By 2014 and 2015, I was invited to various churches to showcase my spiritual abilities, actively participating in university fellowship activities.”
Daramola’s commitment to his faith led him to establish the Believers Word Church in 2016. He explained, “That year, I became aware that true spirituality transcends any specific religion. I envisioned myself as a Nature Prophet, not confined to Christianity or Islam. However, I chose to remain within the Christian faith due to my close circle of friends.”
Expressing respect for all religious beliefs, Daramola stated, “I honor every faith for its teachings but align myself beyond the boundaries of religion, culture, or tradition. I believe that all humans are essentially made of energy; every element found in an atomic bomb exists within us, just as the stars above.”
On the educational front, Daramola has acquired his degrees in Nigeria before transitioning to the UK. He holds an LL.B from Adekunle Ajasin University (2017) and is set to graduate with an LL.M in International Law from the University of Hull in 2024 while pursuing a Ph.D. in Law in the UK.
Through his story, Daramola hopes to serve as a beacon of encouragement for young Nigerians to recognize the potential of technology and faith in transforming their lives.
