A train has collided with a staff bus conveying officials of the Lagos government state with several fatalities recorded in the busy city of Lagos, Nigeria.
Witnesses say the bus driver was impatient and attempted to cross the rail track when the oncoming train rammed into it killing two persons on the spot and injuring many others as it dragged the bus from Shogunle to the PWD area of Ikeja.
A spokesman for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor said over 82 others were injured and have been evacuated to LASUTH.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who visited the hospital, said two persons died at the scene of the accident and four at the hospital.
