Rumors of an alleged armed robbery attack at the Port Harcourt outlet of Domino’s Pizza has been debunked as untrue.
The rumor which was originated by a Twitter user, @tickin_clocks, earlier claimed that the outlet was attacked by armed robbers.
The user however, refuted his earlier claims citing that he was previously misinformed on the actual location of the incident.
A statement from Domino’s Pizza’s management on the matter reads thus:
“Our attention has been drawn to a post being circulated in the media that our recently launched Domino’s Pizza, Pinkberry Frozen Gourmet Yoghurt and Cold Stone Creamery outlet located on No. 44 Olu Obasanjo way in Port Harcourt was invaded and shot at by armed bandits on Saturday 7th December 2018.
This is to state that this information is untrue and no armed bandits were seen at the store location. We would further like to enforce that we remain committed to running our business in the city of Port Harcourt, where we have invested into manpower to bring exceptional service and products to lovers of our brands.”
A management staff told our reporter that, despite insinuations they had before coming to Port Harcourt, the company has so far enjoyed a safe and business-friendly atmosphere in the oil rich city since their outlet was open earlier in 2018.
