Fire Outbreak Destroys Goods Worth Millions In Lagos

A massive fire outbreak at the Josien Factory Warehouse in Abule Osun, Lagos, has resulted in substantial damage, with goods worth millions of naira destroyed.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) responded to the distress call around 8:28 am on Friday and deployed its Dolphin response team to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders found the warehouse fully engulfed in flames, with items such as diapers, solar batteries, foreign charcoal, and massaging seats destroyed.

LASEMA’s Permanent Secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed that the cause of the fire is still unknown, but fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries as the building was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

The emergency response was managed by LASEMA in coordination with the State Government Fire and Rescue officials, who worked together to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjacent warehouses.

Despite significant damage, the team managed to salvage a considerable amount of goods from the warehouse.

The agency praised the coordinated efforts of all involved in managing the emergency and mitigating further risks, highlighting the importance of the multi-agency response in addressing the fire outbreak.
