Breaking News: Autopsy Report Reveals Drug Reaction as Possible Cause of Mohbad’s Death

Mohbad: autopsy report shows drug as possible cause of death

The autopsy report on late singer Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, has suggested that a drug reaction may have contributed to his death.

The report, conducted at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, found traces of antihistamine Diphenhydramine in Mohbad’s system, indicating a possible fatal anaphylactic shock or drug reaction.

The autopsy and toxicology tests were conducted after Mohbad’s body was exhumed eight days after burial. The report revealed an injury on his right forearm and moderate to severe decomposition but no significant gross findings attributed to his death.

While the concentration of Diphenhydramine was not fatal, the report highlights the importance of timely blood sampling to determine fatal anaphylactic shock, which was not possible due to Mohbad’s burial on the second day.

The cause of death remains unascertained, but the possibility of a fatal anaphylactic shock or drug reaction is being considered.

Mohbad, a 27-year-old artist formerly signed to Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Music, passed away on September 12, 2023, under controversial circumstances that have sparked widespread debate.

The investigation into Mohbad’s death continues, with the Lagos State Police Command having established a special investigation team and arrested several individuals, including Naira Marley and Balogun Eletu.
