Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Gas Marketing Limited (NGML), a subsidiary of NNPC Limited, has signed a significant Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement (GSPA) with Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE.

The agreement was formalized on Tuesday at Dangote Group’s Corporate Head Office in Falomo, Lagos State.

The deal, signed by Barr. Justin Ezeala, Managing Director of NGML, and Aliko Dangote, President/CEO of the Dangote Group, outlines the supply of 100 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCF/D) of natural gas to the Dangote Refinery located in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. This allocation includes 50 MMSCF/D as a firm supply, while the remaining 50 MMSCF/D will be provided on an interruptible basis.

The initial agreement covers a 10-year period, with provisions for renewal and potential supply expansion.

The supplied natural gas will be used for power generation and as feedstock, supporting the operational needs of the Dangote Refinery. The collaboration aims to boost domestic gas utilization in Nigeria and ensure the smooth functioning of one of the country’s most significant industrial projects.
