In Plateau State, demonstrators marked the fourth day of their protest by holding a church service at the Old Airport roundabout in Jos, the main site of their gathering.
The service, attended by both Christians and Muslims, included praises and worship songs. This follows last Friday’s jumat prayers offered by Muslim demostrators at the same location.
The increase in turnout was notable compared to previous days, as protesters temporarily transformed the venue into a place of worship to signify their continued unrest. They expressed dissatisfaction with President Bola Tinubu’s recent broadcast, which they claim failed to address their concerns.
The State’s Commissioner of Police and security personnel have been overseeing the protest, which has remained peaceful. Protest leaders are currently deliberating on their next steps in response to what they view as an inadequate presidential address.
