Breaking: Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, Resigns

Nigeria’s minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has resigned his ministerial position, REPORT AFRIQUE can confirm.

Amaechi resigned on Wednesday, following the directive by President Mohamadu Buhari, in the last NEC meeting, ordering serving ministers with 2023 political ambition to resign their current positions.

Amaechi declared to run for the 2023 presidency in Port Harcourt, capital of his home state of Rivers under the APC, in April, 2022.

He is being rumoured as one of the possible aspirants to be picked by Buhari as APC’s consensus candidate.
