The executives emphasized that the suspension, which takes immediate effect, was in line with the APC constitution and principles. They directed Abdulahi to return all party property and documents in his possession and warned him against presenting himself as the party’s ward 8 chairman or a member of the party.

Edo State, Nigeria – The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 8, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, Musa Abdulahi, has been suspended over alleged anti-party activities and misconduct.

The decision, reached during a meeting attended by ward executives led by Muhammed Muhammed and 22 other party leaders, follows accusations of gross misconduct, insubordination, and actions deemed detrimental to the party’s objectives.

In a statement signed by Muhammed and other executives, Abdulahi was accused of refusing to convene meetings, failing to address concerns regarding his alleged role in an incident involving Anamero Dekeri, a prominent member of the House of Representatives and an illustrious son of Okpella.

The statement further alleged that Abdulahi misappropriated funds allocated for mobilizing party members to collect their voter cards and colluded with opposition parties to undermine APC operations. These actions, described as anti-party activities, reportedly undermined the party’s integrity.

“We, the executive members of the All Progressives Congress in Ward 8 of Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, have suspended the chairman, Musa Abdulahi,” the statement read.

The executives emphasized that the suspension, which takes immediate effect, was in line with the APC constitution and principles. They directed Abdulahi to return all party property and documents in his possession and warned him against presenting himself as the party’s ward 8 chairman or a member of the party.

“Failure to comply with these directives will result in legal action, as the APC constitution empowers ward executives to suspend any executive or party member guilty of violating the party’s principles and constitution,” the statement added.

The ward leaders reaffirmed their support for Anamero Dekeri, commending his performance since assuming office.
