PDP Governors Declares Support for Fubara, Amid Crisis

In a show of solidarity, Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have declared their support for Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, amidst the ongoing crisis in the state.

The declaration was made at the PDP Governors’ Forum meeting held in Enugu on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. The forum, chaired by Bauchi State Governor, Bala A. Mohammed, condemned the crisis in Rivers State and pledged to work towards a peaceful resolution.

According to a communiqué released after the meeting, the governors resolved to stand by Governor Fubara while engaging in wider consultations with stakeholders to find a lasting solution to the crisis.

The meeting, hosted by Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, was attended by 13 PDP governors, who also commended Governor Mbah for his achievements and efforts in holding the party together in the South Eastern geo-political zone.
