The Nigeria Police Force has reaffirm its commitment to keep vigil at the house of Senator Dino Melaye until he is arrested. Dino is wanted by the police for criminal conspiracy and attempted culpable homicide.
The police laid siege at the Senator’s Abuja home and have remained their for the past two days. WIRED reported that power supply was also cut off from the Senator’s home by the police in an effort to destabilize the occupants of the building.
In a phone call to Channels TV, Dino Melaye denied the allegations against him and stated that he was not in his Abuja home at the time of the invasion by the police.
He also alleged that the charges against him were politically motivated.
The police is accusing Senator Melaye of attempting to murder one of their men, Sargent Danjuma Saliu, on the 19th of July, 2018 in Kogi state.
